A top-level dialogue between art and cigars
At the Motion Art Fair, Rubinsky defined a new dimension of luxury in a top-level dialogue between art and cigars.
Under the spotlight of the Madden Contemporary Art Fair, at the Madden Contemporary Art Fair 2025, as visitors wander through the fantastical forest of installation art and digital media, lingering in the ocean of contemporary art, a unique booth always attracts attention—there are no abstract paintings, no immersive projections, but exquisite smoking paraphernalia displayed like works of art.

For the first time, Lubinski participated in the exhibition with the theme of "The Ultimate Expression of Art in Everyday Life," elevating its cigar accessories from functional tools to art collectibles.

Art Crossover, New Positioning
This year's Modian Contemporary Art Fair underwent a significant transformation—no longer confined to traditional paintings and sculptures, but expanding the definition of art to include well-designed everyday objects. Rubinsky's participation perfectly echoes this curatorial concept.
"Many people ask me why a smoking accessory brand is appearing at an art fair," Rubinsky said. "I tell them that when the design, craftsmanship, and concept of an object transcend its functionality, it becomes art."

This positioning is no accident. From the very beginning, the brand has insisted on crafting each product as a work of art.
This design philosophy is fully reflected in this exhibition, where the Rubinsky booth has been meticulously designed as a "usable art space."

The booth design showcases meticulous craftsmanship, allowing visitors to experience the entire process of cutting and lighting a cigar using Rubinsky tools under guidance. This area aims to break down the boundaries of artworks that are "only for viewing from afar," validating functional aesthetics in practical use.

The brand story is elevated through art, and the brand's iconic "Sphinx" logo receives a fresh interpretation in this exhibition: "The lion symbolizes strength and protection, while the human face represents wisdom and rationality. This is not only the brand logo but also our interpretation of our product philosophy—every tool should be a combination of wisdom and strength."
On-site experience, in-depth interaction
Unlike most booths that only allow viewing, Rubinsky designed a multi-layered interactive experience, making art more accessible.

This collaboration marks a significant breakthrough in the boundaries between art and practical design. Rubinski has demonstrated that everyday objects can also embody profound aesthetic thought and exquisite craftsmanship.
In today's era of digital art, Rubinski brings a return to 'tactile aesthetics.' Their works need to be touched and used to fully appreciate their value. This art form, which directly engages with the body, offers a completely new dimension to contemporary art.

As night falls, the lights at the Modeng Contemporary Art Fair gradually dim, but the Rubinsky booth remains bustling with people. When people stop to focus on appreciating the beauty of an object, the boundary between art and life disappears.

The smoke drew elegant arcs in the air, like the briefest yet most moving performance art of the night. Art is not only a painting on the wall, but also a carefully crafted tool in our hands, a moment of focus and enjoyment in everyday life.
